My 2015 Range Rover Sport has a strange problem that I have never seen in any car before. When I turn the AC on, the left side of the cabin gets cold, but the right side stays warm, almost like two different cars in one. My husband sits on the cold side and I sit on the warm side, so we now argue about the temperature every single day. I thought it was a small thing at first, but last week the air coming from the back vents also became weak. A colleague who owns a Discovery told me this is common on these cars and said I should look for professional Land Rover AC repair in Sharjah before the summer heat comes back, because he said the system has many small parts and not every garage knows them well. I read a page about Land Rover AC repair online, only to understand the basics, and it talked about gas level, blend doors, sensors and blocked drains in easy words. It said a split temperature can come from low gas or from a small motor inside the dash that moves the air. That made me feel a little better, but I still do not know which one I have. So I want to ask people who have been through this. Is a warm side and a cold side a sign of low gas, or is it more likely a broken part inside the dash? Does fixing a dash part mean they have to take the whole dashboard apart, and how long does that take? Should I ask for a gas pressure test and a scan before they touch anything? Also, there is a small puddle of water under the car some mornings, and I wonder if that is normal or a sign of a blocked drain. The car has about 87,000 kilometers, and I use it every day for work and school drop off, so I cannot leave it for many days. What is a fair price for this kind of repair, and does it usually come with a warranty? If your Land Rover or Range Rover had the same problem, please tell me what the cause was and what you paid. Thanks for reading.
